Without courage, there is no true substance to life.
Courage: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty
How many times have you lost the faith within yourself to accomplish something that needed to be done for your personal growth? To me, courage is standing up for what you believe in. Whether that the belief is in yourself or in support of a cause. There will be many times in our lives when we must stand up, look fear straight into the eyes and disown it. We must look deep within ourselves and understand what is truly important to us. For some of us, just to get up in the mornings and head to work everyday, maybe a job that we don’t enjoy, is courage alone. And for others that courage may lie in when we finally decide that we won’t settle for anything less in this world than what we know we deserve. Being courageous is most of the time a demon that we must fight on our own. Meaning, we’re not proving bravery to any other human being because we are our own true enemies. Having courage is being honest with ourselves, no matter how much it hurts, no matter how much we try to ignore it. Having courage is stepping up to the stage and making that first move, that first step towards progression and happiness.
