The Misunderstandings of Love

The perfect love that we sometimes believe we have can sometimes get shifted and rotated turning into many unbearable emotions that our heart’s can’t seem to comprehend. Our minds slowly wither away with each pain that we feel from heart break, heart ache, and everything else in between. Love itself, stands on it own. Love is not selfish, unkind, painful, or confusing. It’s the simplest and yet the most sweetest and beautiful thing known to man kind.

With all of our flustered emotions and feelings, we sometimes confuse the feeling of actual love with the other countless emotions that come along with it, causing pain, sickness, loneliness, and hurt that we feel we will never recover from. Love is not the cause, it’s the neglectful actions that come along for the ride. The lack of self respect for ourselves and others result in the mishaps with love. But love stands alone, it is its own thing with nothing else attached. It is pure and free. That fresh, new car smell that we sometimes don’t keep around long enough, it should never go away. Heartbreak comes to the surface with boredom, bad communication, and misunderstanding. Love is not the failure, our outlook on it is. More times than not we put too much thought into things not listening to what is true in our heart. And acting off impulse sometimes leaves us in holes we wish we would have never climbed into, so it’s tricky when trying to balance love and everything that we let come along with it.

Trust becomes taken for granted and attitudes change for the worse, sometimes for the better, but it still in the end leaves one person out in the open, soon having feelings of resentment and bitterness. It is that understanding that is needed to keep love flourishing without the negativity to hinder it. Love cannot and will not prevail if we don’t let it. We humans are not perfect and sometimes can’t handle the happiness we truly have sitting within arms reach.  If it is someone you love and worth having in your life, you will not give up on it, you will continue to prevail and push through not dismissing or writing it off as if love is the reason for your broken spirit.  Understanding, patience, acceptance, pure LOVE is the cure.
